Cable ratings for the 2015-16 season will be released Tuesday, and the numbers aren’t expected to be great.
For the first time in the history of the Nielsen Company, the network’s cable subscribers increased last season.
The cable news ratings will show that there are still some cable fans watching on the networks and in the homes, but they are not nearly as passionate as last year.
That is a bit of a disappointment, since the network and cable news channels have been in a ratings slump for the past few years.
It also could indicate that cable news is not as relevant to the millennial audience as it once was.
